This photoshoot was an assignment for the Photostyling course in Humber’s Fashion Arts and Business program. For the assignment, we had to create a concept for an off-figure editorial style shoot, limited to one final photograph. I was elected art director for the shoot, so I was in charge of styling on-set, working with the photographer, and selecting the final image we were going to work with. The final product was to include a title and tagline as it would appear in a magazine done in InDesign.
Our idea for this shoot was to include nude and rose gold shades, and play on the texture to create an interesting look. Shooting with a reflective background, sunglasses, and gem stones proved challenging in the photography stage as well as in post-production. However, we were able to achieve a good shot without getting the camera or photographer in the reflection, and managed to incorporate type by including a bold font with a medium stroke.
