This studio shoot was an assignment for the Photostyling course in Humber’s Fashion Arts and Business program. In this assignment we were put into groups and had to create an editorial style shoot with our own concept, styling, props, and mood boards. In the assignment I was the art director and was in charge of generating ideas, overall styling, and working with the model and photographer on-set.
Our concept was based off Pantone’s colour of the year, Rose Quartz. We wanted to create a whimsical and fun feel with an added edge, to tone down the traditionally girly pink, and incorporate vintage aspects in the hair and make-up.
The final layout was to be in the style of a fashion magazine, and was created in Adobe InDesign.
